Every beer at de Coureur is named after a cycling term or moment. Not sure what to pick? Order the Peloton — 4 beers of your choice (10cl each) for €10.
Light & refreshing — under 5% ABV: rotating selection of 3 to 5 beers

We also fill fresh beer to go in cans (50cl) or a refillable bidon (1.9L). Ask at the bar.

Is there an English brewery tour at Brewery de Coureur?
Yes. Every Saturday at 13:30, head brewer Bart gives a guided tour in English. The tour covers the full brewing process and ends with a tasting of 4 beers. Price is €15 per person. Tickets are available via Visit Leuven at visitleuven.be/en/brewery-de-coureur.
What makes Brewery de Coureur unique?
De Coureur is Belgium’s cycling-themed craft brewery. Every beer is named after a cycling term, race moment, or concept. The taproom atmosphere reflects the same passion for cycling culture. Brewer Bart does everything by hand in small batches on site. There is a rotating beer selection.
Where is Brewery de Coureur located?
The brewery is at Borstelsstraat 20, 3010 Kessel-Lo, a neighbourhood of Leuven. Leuven is 25 minutes by train from Brussels. The taproom is about 20 minutes walk from Leuven’s railway station of take bus 1, hire a bike, take an uber.
Do I need to book in advance to visit the taproom?
No reservation is needed to visit the taproom during regular opening hours — just walk in. For brewery tours, you do need to book in advance via Visit Leuven. For group experiences, contact the brewery directly.
Is there food available at de Coureur?
The taproom has no kitchen, but you are welcome to bring your own food or order delivery. Light snacks are available at the bar: dried sausage (with spent grain from brewing), crackers, almonds, and fresh popcorn. Nearby options include Antico Pizza and Take Away, and delivery services like Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
Are alcohol-free options available?
Yes. De Coureur makes its own Hoptails — house-crafted alcohol-free drinks based on hop water. Options include Passie°Sprint (passionfruit), Gember°Demarrage (ginger and mint), Vlier°Vitesse (elderflower), and Wisselzone (apple and hop water). All are 0% alcohol and priced at €4–€6.
Can I buy beer to take home?
Yes. Every beer on tap can be freshly filled into cans (50cl) or a refillable bidon (1.9L) to take home. Keep refrigerated and drink within 5 days. A bidon costs €12 at first purchase, then just the beer price for refills. Order at the bar at least 30 minutes before closing.
